Relationships

Our program is geared to help children develop spiritually, intellectually, and socially.  Through our academic plan and the student/family counseling times, we see hope and healing occur in the young man and his family. This time-proven model will have a multi-generational impact.

The Chestnut Mountain Ranch educational program has three integrated components: the school, Christian discipleship, and home-style dorm life.

We would encourage you to watch Our Story for a helpful picture of Ranch life.

Home-style Dorm Life

As a boarding school, Chestnut Mountain Ranch provides a place for some of the students to live during the week (some students are commuters only) while they work towards completing the program.  The students return home on most of the weekends to work on family relationships.  The dorms are not a typical dorm atmosphere.  They instead are home-style dorms that look very much like a home in a neighborhood.  The homes are supervised by a loving, married couple.  Houseparent couples in each home provide a stable environment for our students. They also model healthy family relationships and incorporate Christian principles into all aspects of daily living. This helps both the students and their families learn new ways of relating to each other.

The Ranch day school program serves the students from 8:30am-4pm.  At 4pm, the students return to the Ranch home.  Family support meetings are typically scheduled in the afternoon or early evening.
