Our program is geared to help children develop spiritually, intellectually, socially and physically. Through our academic plan and the student/family counseling times, we see hope and healing occur in the young man and his family. This time-proven model will have a multi-generational impact.
The Chestnut Mountain Ranch program has four integrated components: the Ranch Homes, the Ranch School, Spiritual Formation and Outdoor Learning.
We would encourage you to watch Our Story for a helpful picture of Ranch life.
Home-style Dorm Life
As a boarding school, Chestnut Mountain Ranch provides a place for the students to live during the week while they work toward completing the program. The students return home on most weekends to work on family relationships. The dorms are not a typical dorm atmosphere. They instead are home-style dorms that look very much like a home in a neighborhood. The homes are supervised by a loving, married couple. Houseparent couples in each home provide a stable environment for our students. They also model healthy family relationships and incorporate Christian principles into all aspects of daily living. This helps both the students and their families learn new ways of relating to each other.
There are four homes on the Ranch campus: Joy Home, Grace Home, Faith Home and Peace Home. There are plans for three more homes.
